SCOTTSDALE

EAT

SumoMaya: Mexican-Asian fusion, always buzzing, make resos. My favourites include the spicy peach margarita, pomegranate guacamole, suzuki roll and the coconut gelato.

Mora Italian: trendy Italian spot, good for dinner, located in Phoenix.

The Mission: upscale Latin cuisine, fantastic food, lovely secluded patio at the back.

Pizzaria Bianco: fantastic pizza spot, 2 locations in Phoenix, be wise and order the Wise Guy (I subbed the smoked mozza for regular mozza)!

Farm and Craft: located in Old Town, good spot for brunch/lunch, nice patio that includes bar seating.

The Herb Box: good spot for brunch/lunch, I really like the sweet potato tacos.

Arcadia Farms Cafe: good spot for brunch/lunch.

Kaleidoscope Juice: healthy juice bar that also serves coffee and snacks, also has a little shop.

Fourtillfour Cafe: cute little coffee shop.

DRINKS

Just walk around Old Town and find the crowd, there is always somewhere to go!

Montauk: cocktail lounge.

Rusty Spur Saloon: pretty wild, usually a live band.

ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho: the lounge is a nice spot, and you get to enjoy this fabulous hotel.

The Canal Club at The Scott Resort & Spa: same as the above, nice spot and you get a sneak peak of this great hotel!

SHOP

Phoenix General: boutique in Phoenix, sells apparel and housewares.

Local Nomad: boutique in Phoenix, sells apparel and handcrafted gifts.

NOONS: women’s boutique in Phoenix, sells apparel, housewares and some art pieces. I bought a piece from Faith Christiansen Smeets.

Phoenix Flea: it only happens a few times year and I haven’t been lucky enough to catch it yet, so check in out if you get the opportunity! Filled with local vendors. Go see Sonia Gracia who makes beautiful clay jewelry, my mum and I both own one of her necklaces.

DO

Shop: see above list! All three boutiques are close to each other, but you will need a car to get there from Scottsdale.

Spring Training: if you happen to be here in the sping and are a baseball fan, check out the Catcus League Spring Training schedule.

Barrett Jackson: this famous car auction is held in Scottsdale every year, go check out some nice cars! We got to do a “thrill ride” in a Dodge Challenger SRT - funnnn!!!

SLEEP

Hotel Valley Ho: this is hands down, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Located in downtown Scottsdale, this midcentury modern designed hotel is absolutely stunning. Each room has it’s own private patio, jacuzzi tub (with blue lights) and lovely amenities. There are 2 pools - the OH Pool, which often has a DJ, and a quieter lap pool if you want to escape from the crowds. The ZuZu bar and restaurant are also great. Everyone is lovely. I CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK!

The Scott Resort & Spa: if the Valley Ho is sold out, you won’t be disappointed here. More of a Californian feel, this hotel surrounds the pool area which includes hanging macrame pieces and sand lined pools. The Canal Club in the lobby is a great spot for drinks.
